Jerry Seinfeld performing at The O2 Arena on 03 June 2011

Comedians don’t get much bigger than global phenomenon Jerry Seinfeld. He is coming to the UK for one night only at the London O2 Arena on Friday 3 June. This is his first stand-up performance in the UK since 1998.

Seinfeld is best known for playing a larger-than-life version of himself in the hit sit-com ‘Seinfeld’, which ran for nine seasons from 1989. After the finale of ‘Seinfeld’, the New York comic and actor immediately returned to what he loved the most – performing stand-up comedy. In 1998 he performed a week of sold-out stand-up shows in Broadway’s Broadhurst Theatre, the last of which was telecast live as an HBO special, “I’m Telling You For The Last Time.”

Last time Seinfeld played in the UK, he played to sell-out crowds, despite a date clash with the World Cup final. The American comedy star has long touted the London stand-up scene as inspirational and he’s looking forward to performing in front of a UK crowd again.

Kylie – Aphrodite ‘Les Folies’ – O2 Arena

This tour promises to be an absolute landmark in the career of Kylie Minogue as she intends to create a live spectacular that will surpass even her own previous groundbreaking shows. Kylie has already been working on concepts for the tour and says….

“The reaction to ‘Aphrodite’ has been absolutely incredible and has inspired me and my creative team to develop a new show that will take all of us on a euphoric journey of joy, excitement and glamour. I can’t wait to get on the road and see all my fans in 2011”

Kylie Minogue made her name in the Australian soap Neighbours before leaving the show to become a recording artist. Her early work was classic ’80s bubblegum pop, with tracks like I Should Be So Lucky achieving worldwide success.

As time passed, Kylie has reinvented herself and her musical styles many times over, and her popularity had waned somewhat until she returned with the number one hit Spinning Around. Following on from this success, 2002’s international smash hit Can’t Get You out of My Head sent her career into orbit.

Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, and took a break from her career to receive treatment and convalesce.

Minogue has now triumphantly returned to the world stage, and in addition to resuming her previously cancelled tour, she released her tenth studio album, X, on 26 November 2007 and remains one of the hottest properties in pop music.
