One Little Word at Lyric Theatre Hammersmith London

ONE LITTLE WORD Directed by Andy Manley, Devised by M6 Theatre Company and Music by Tayo Akinbode.

One Little Word tells the story of two characters who play together – exploring a new space, new objects, dressing up and taking turns – but struggles arise when one of them wants to be the ONLY Captain of the ship!

This beautiful and gentle story of friendship, power struggles and the rich world of creative play has been underscored with original music, and contains only ONE spoken word.

The play, which has been specially staged for 3-6 year olds and was created with children and educationalists to ensure its relevance and its accessibility, engages children and their adult carers to explore conflict and positive resolution.

M6 Theatre Company, founded in 1977 and based in Rochdale, is acknowledged as one of Britain’s leading theatre companies specialising in creating and delivering high quality, innovative & accessible theatre to over 10,000 young people annually.
