Barclays Live: Are you the New London Dance Star?

Barclays Live is looking for dancers to show their stuff on the big stage.  Along with Strictly Come Dancing’s Brendan Cole, Barclays Live is bringing a nationwide dance tour to Croydon on 16 April trying to find the region’s hottest dance acts.  The best dancer can take home the £1,000 prize.

If you think you have what it takes to be London’s next big dance star, simply go to and upload a short clip of your performance.  The competition is open to individuals, duos, groups and troupes.

The top ten will perform to a panel of judges, including Brendan Cole, and an audience outside the Whitgift Centre. Further entertainment on the day will include live music, professional performances, and a dance master class from Strictly Come Dancing’s Brendan Cole.

Following the live performances, five of the ten acts will be handpicked by the celebrity judging panel.  The remaining five will then go through to an online public vote whereby the acts will rely on supporters for votes with the one getting the most votes to dance away as the new star all the way to the bank with a £1,000 cheque.

Following the tour’s success in major UK cities including Manchester, London (Leicester Square) and Glasgow, Barclays Live is back on the hunt for all London has to offer.  Last year, the young street dance duo Steadiflux from Birmingham were crowned Barclays Live UK Champions after beating off stiff competition in the form of UK Hip Hop champions Smash Broz and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists Mini Mezzos.  Steadiflux then picked up over 100,000 votes nationally to take the title and a further £1,000 prize.

To enter the competition visit and click on the ‘Enter’ tab or email along with your dance clip, name, phone number and postcode before midnight on Sunday 10 April. Find out more at
