NEXT DOOR at Cockpit Theatre from 18th August

NEXT DOOR, is an intense story about modern day slavery. An explosive contemporary play embedded with Parkour and physical theatre that takes the audience from light to dark.

Faith Drama Productions present their latest theatre production NEXT DOOR at the Cockpit Theatre. It will run at 7.30pm from 17th – 28th August 2010 and matinees will be held at 2.45pm on 21st and 28th August 2010. A post-show discussion will be held after the matinee on Saturday 21st August 2010.

NEXT DOOR is a hard-hitting and vibrant production set amidst two families living side by side, however in one home nothing is quite what it seems. It is an intense and darkly comic play that explores the structures of family, compassion, dependency and human trafficking. It contains shocking twists that will make audiences ask the questions; do we really know what is going on under our noses? Or more so, do we care?

NEXT DOOR is a synthesis of parkour, physical theatre and drama. The young creative team Gbemisola Ikumelo (Writer / Director), and newcomers to the theatre, Genesis Lynea (Choreographer) and Brang D (Composer) have combined their skills to create an entertaining and dynamic play, in an exciting new format that is rarely seen on UK stages.

NEXT DOOR is performed by a talented cast of professional actors, performing artists and young people who have been directly affected by human trafficking.

This play comes with a recommended viewing age of 14+ as some scenes are unsuitable for young children.
