Strictly Come Dancing will take to the road again in 2011 after its phenomenal success in 2010!

The hugely popular and successful UK arena tour returns for its fourth consecutive year opening at Nottingham Trent FM Arena on 14th January 2011.

Strictly fans will once again get to see their favourite celebrities and professional dancers competing live to win the coveted glitter ball trophy. Audiences will be wowed by former contestants from the hit BBC1 television show, dancing to brand new routines performed to live music. The 2011 tour will showcase the glitz, glamour and impressive choreography as with previous years, but with a new line-up of celebrities taking part. More than 750,000 Strictly fans have now been entertained at the last three live tour. 

The 2010 tour, drawing to a close this week, saw actress Kelly Brook competing against former rugby champion Austin Healey and 2009 Strictly series winner Chris Hollins for the audiences votes each night. They were also up against former Strictly celebs – Zoe Lucker, Ali Bastian, Natalie Cassidy, Ricky Groves and cricketer Mark Ramprakash, dancing each night in front of judges Arlene Philips, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel-Horwood.  Kicking off at the Nottingham Trent FM Arena, the five-week dance spectacular will travel to Sheffield Arena, Wembley Arena, London’s O2 Arena, Liverpool’s Echo Arena, The LG Arena Birmingham, Manchester Evening News Arena and Glasgow’s SECC and tickets for these shows are now on sale. 

The eighth series of Strictly Come Dancing will be broadcast on BBC1 in the autumn. The last series was incredibly popular, over 11 million viewers tuned in for the grand final. The television format, also known as Dancing With The Stars, is hugely successful around the world and has been sold by BBC Worldwide to over 30 international broadcasters.
