Tim Key is a British actor, comedy writer, and performance poet. In 2009, he was the winner of the Edinburgh Comedy Award and was also nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality.
Tim Key is set to release his first comedy album on the 8th November 2010 through Angular/The Invisible Dot. This is not merely an archive of pre-existing material. Nor is it a recording of one of Key’s critically acclaimed stageshows. Instead Key has produced a curious arte fact of poetry, prose and tense conversation; an examination of the highs and lows that come from hiring a string quartet and a boat without really thinking it through…
“In any other sphere apart from comedy, we’d probably class this way of looking at the world as certifiable. Here it feels like genius”- The Telegraph (August 2009)
“Wielding a crowbar, Key is foremost a brilliant showman” – The Stage (Edinburgh, August 2009)
“Key exhibits a show that is anarchic, shambolic and entirely original. As a comedian his style is unparalleled” – The Stage (Sydney, January 2010)
“Once you have seen this show, ordinary stand-up will seem disappointingly bland.” – Observer (February 2010)
